Leroy Hill Post 19 will be hosting the 1st Annual Bill Hunter Day this Saturday October 21st. Please join us from 6pm to midnight as we honor and commemorate our benefactor William “Bill” Hunter. There will be catered Italian food and every member and guest will receive two free drinks of their choice. We will also have a DJ with Karaoke for the evening. We hope to see you here.

William “Bill” Brown Hunter October 20, 1923 – July 28, 2016
Bill was was a SSGT in the United States Marine Corps. He served two active tours: WWII December 1942-November 1946 and Korea November 1950 – December 1952. His friend, Mr. Jeff Snell, says he was “One “heck of a horse trainer. If anyone talked about professional horse trainers, Bill’s name would be mentioned.” He was a 5-year consecutive member of our Post 19 and bequeathed a generous donation to our Post, the Wounded Warriors program and the Paola VFW.
