Post Adjutant Jim Simpson and 1st Vice Commander Abe Revira attended the dinner reception for National Commander Denise Rohan at Post 327 in Shawnee September 27th. Commander Rohan reaffirmed her platform and commitment to “Family First.” She spoke of her concerns for defense spending cuts and also of holding VA administrators accountable for Veteran’s care and treatment delays.
Department Commander Terry Marr, Department Vice Commander Dan Wiley, Department Adjutant Jimmie Foster, and Alternate National Executive Committeeman Gaylord Sanneman were also in attendance. Department Vice Commander Wiley congratulated District II Commander Rick Miller for having the highest membership renewals to date and also for having the best and easiest to use web site in the state. Department Vice Commander Wiley said he is planning to attend the Legion meeting Monday October 2nd here at Post 19.
