On October 2, 2017 The American Legion Department of Kansas Vice Commander, Dan Wiley, attended the monthly Legion meeting.
“At Gardner Post 19 for their monthly meeting on October 2, 2017 with Commander Joe Herbert; Adjutant Jim Simpson; and Jeff Barber, Finance Officer and 2nd District Executive Committeeman. This is a young and very active group with 20 people at the meeting and the median age about 45. So exciting! I won the 50/50 drawing and donated my half to The American Legion’s newest member Jamie Shelton who is also pictured. I will hopefully be back for their mountain oyster feed on Veterans Day at 5:00 p.m.!”
