On Friday, April 21st, American Legion Post 19 hosted a fundraiser for The Veterans Community Project and Professional MMA Fighters Daniel “Big Kansas” Gallemore (Victory Fighting Championship Heavyweight Champion) and Johnnie Ray Roades Jr. (Walkout FC Bantamweight Champion making his VFC Debut).
A huge thank you to everyone that came out – we raised $659 for the Veterans Community Project and $321 each for Daniel and Johnnie to help mitigate costs during their fight camps. Our members also overflowed a big box with donated items for care package that will be sent to a group of deployed soldiers. We gave out over $800 in cash and prizes to those who attended. Thanks to Wayman, Florina, Grant and Brian for showing up and giving their support to an awesome cause. More thank you’s to everyone that helped cook, clean and sell raffle tickets!
